Learn to Quilt by Machine.
Skill level beginner.
When: Mondays, 6 sessions:
March 5, 12, 19 and April 2, 9, 16
Time:9:00am - 12:00noon
This program teaches students two simple blocks in a baby-size quilt from beginning to end. You will learn the basics of rotary cutting, piecing, machine quilting and binding all in one interesting-looking quilt. You will finish your project and now have a good foundation for learning more.
You should be comfortable with your sewing machine before class starts and it needs to be in good working order.
Rotary mats, cutters and rulers are supplied.
Where: 144 Queen Street East, St Marys
Machine in good working order, 1/4" patchwork foot, walking foot (must be familiar with the operation of your machine).
We have machines you can rent.
If you need a "know your sewing machine" class, please let us know.
Basic sewing kit including; pins, tape measure, seam ripper, scissors.
Rotary cutter and ruler. We have loads of cutting mats so no need to bring that.
Fabric as listed, batting, thread, basting spray will be needed later.

Colour A - Nine Patch Units: 1 1/4 yards
Colour B - Inner border and Monkey Wrench: 1 1/4yards
Outer border and binding (nondirectional prints only): 1 1/2 yards
Backing: 1 1/2 yards
