The "Learn to Sew" Series
Learn sewing techniques while completing a project. Great for a beginner or to brush up on your skills before you beging a major project. Each skill set/project is a separate class to allow you to start at the beginning or jump in where you find it appropriate.
Know your Machine – 2 hours
Do you have a machine but don't know how to use it? Then this is the class for you! Bring in your machine and manual and learn what all the dials, buttons and parts are for. Learn basic techniques for control, how to choose and insert the correct needle and what to do with all those feet.
Project 1- pillowcase, 2 classes each 1½ hours
Sleep well on your own designer pillowcase. This class will teach pattern literacy, grain line, cutting and enclosed French seam finishes.
Project 2 - apron, 2 classes, each 2hours
Aprons are pretty, practical and totally trendy. Learn gathering, simple waistbands, binding and pockets while you make your own apron.
Project 3 - pajama pants, 2 classes each 2hours
Make a pair of pyjama pants while learning casings, elastic, curved seams and seam finishes.
Project 4- pajama top, 2 classes each 3 hours
All you need now is a top to go with your new pants! Collars, buttons and button holes.

Important Class Information - Please Read
Your placement in a class is confirmed upon payment of your class fee. Class fees are non-refundable and subject to HST.
Classes cancelled by you outside of 48hours prior are transferrable to another session
Classes cancelled by you within 48hours prior will absorb a 50% penalty and balance will be applied to another session. If we manage to fill your spot then no penalty will apply and you can transfer to another session.
If a class is cancelled by us, then your fee will be refunded.
Your sewing machine must be in good working order. Bring your manual with you.
A sewing machine may be available for you - PLEASE INQUIRE AT THE TIME OF ENROLLMENT.
