Book: WALK: Mastering Machine Quilting With Your Walking Foot

Highly recommended

Materials List

Extra sewing machine needles for quilting

Thread for quilting (I recommend 40 or 50 weight aurifil thread in both the top and bobbin) Thread that contrasts with your practice sandwiches will help you see your quilting stitches better while practicing.

Optional: 1 spool of 28 weight white aurifil thread

Painter's tape – 1 roll approximately 1" wide

Quilting gloves (optional)

6" x 24" acrylic ruler with 60 degree lines for marking

Fabric safe marker

Hancy Pounce Pad and iron off chalk (White) (https://www.fulllinestencil.com/product/ultimate-quilt-pounce-pad-iron-off/)

Sketchbook or notebook and pencil

(6) 12" x 18" prepared quilt sandwiches for practice (top, batting, and backing)

(1) 24" x 24" prepared quilt sandwich for practice (top, batting, and backing)

Practice tops need to be whole cloth and solid fabrics. Please use a color that will contrast with the white quilt pounce powder. I recommend low loft cotton batting. You can pin baste or spray baste your prepared quilt sandwiches but they need to be basted and ready to quilt. Spray basted quilt sandwiches will be easier to mark and are recommended. Please do not bring pieced quilt sandwiches for practice.

Optional but recommended:

1 finished unquilted quilt top (We'll use this top to talk together about how to quilt our quilts with designs we can accomplish with our walking foot.)

NOTE: All fees are non refundable.
