Festival of Quilts, Birmingham from 30th July – 2nd August 2026!

 

Register your expression of interest to join us to visit Europe’s biggest celebration of patchwork & quilting, Birmingham UK 2026 by using this link.

This is the plan and there will be some adjusting of the itinerary as visits are subject to availability and we can't book without firm numbers. 

 

Day 1 - Depart from Toronto Pearson to London, Gatwick

Day 2 - arrive London, transfer to hotel for 3 night stay (drop off luggage if rooms are  not available). Do some exploring, perhaps the British Museum. Welcome dinner at restaurant close to hotel

Day 3 - coach to Victoria & Albert Museum for guided tour, afternoon tea as a group and remainder of day is free. You may wish to explore the great shops on your way back to the hotel, grab a 'pub' dinner and/or                attend a West End Show.

Day 4 - Walking tour of some of London's iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Houses of Parliament. Grab the hop on/hop off bus (optional). Group dinner at local                      restaurant to share our adventures of the day.

Day 5 - check out and we are on our way to Birmingham with an interesting stop enroute to grab lunch and have a stretch. Check into hotel for a 3 night stay. Group dinner.

Day 6 - 2 day ticket to the Festival of Quilts, group dinner at hotel

Day 7 - Festival of Quilts, 3 course group diinner canal cruise including rountrip transportation.

Day 8 - check out, coach to Edinburgh with stop enroute in Lake District. Upon arrival, guided walking tour of Edinburgh visiting soem of Edinburgh's best fabric and textile shops, such as The Edinburgh Woollen Mills              or Mandors. Group dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 9 - 4 hour coach tour and guided walking tour of the Royal Mile. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure, purchase lunch, visit The National Museum or stroll Princes Street Gardens (optional). In the evening we attend                  the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (Sections 2-5 or 12-15) and walk back to the hotel.

Day 10 - Enjoy your day, do some last minute shopping for local goods and join us for our Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant

Day 11 - check out, coach transfer to Edinburgh airport for those with the group departure.
